Friends of the Board network
About the network
We value our links with people and communities across Leeds. It is essential that we hear what you think is important about safeguarding adults in our city.
Our Friends of the Board network helps us hear from people, through community organisations, services, and groups. The network helps us identify our priorities and helps us raise awareness about safeguarding adults work in Leeds.
Membership
Friends of the Board is an informal network and membership is voluntary. We welcome members from:
- Community organisations, services, groups, which can help us reach different communities in Leeds.
- Members of the public with experience of care and support or safeguarding adults services.
Network activities
Some examples of how Friends of the Board support our work:
- Attend up to two network meetings each year, meeting with our Independent Chair to share their experiences of safeguarding adults in Leeds and help us identify our priorities.
- Give feedback and suggestions regarding our plans, ambitions, and policies.
- Help us hear what the people they support think about safeguarding adults in Leeds.
- Help raise awareness about safeguarding adults in Leeds, by displaying our posters and leaflets, sharing our campaigns, and hosting our free talks about abuse.
